Workshop on Economic Policy Triangle: Inter Relationship among Fiscal, Monetary and Capital Market Policies held on 28th February, 2022

On 28 February 2022, a Workshop on “Economic Policy
Triangle: The Inter Relationship among, Fiscal Monetary and Capital Market
Policies” was held at the Hotel Purbani Int. Dilkusha, Motijheel, Dhaka with
the participation of the members of the Capital Market Journalists’ Forum (CMJF).
The workshop was jointly organized by Bangladesh Academy for Securities Markets
(BASM) and Capital Market Journalists’ Forum (CMJF). The idea of the workshop
was initiated by Dr. Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed, honorable Commissioner of
Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission who attended the session as a
Special Guest. Mr. Arif Khan, CFA, FCMA, Former Commissioner of Bangladesh
Securities and Exchange Commission, Mr. Abu Ahmed, Professor of University of
Dhaka, Dr. Shah Md. Ahsan Habib, Professor Selection Grade of BIBM and Dr.
Mohammed Helal Uddin, Director Research, CIRDAP participated as panelist of the
workshop. The workshop aimed to identify the relationship among fiscal,
monetary and capital market policies of Bangladesh and their implications. The
panelist actively presented their thoughts and discussed their views to enhance
the overall impression of the capital market with the alignment of monetary and
fiscal policy. Right and coordinated policies
for the country's fiscal, monetary and capital market are very significant for
building a healthy and strong financial market and economy, experts opined on
the workshop.
