Objectives:

The overall objective is to look at the capital market with the lenses of Economics. The specific objectives are:

i)                  To examine the structure of Financial Markets vis-a-vis capital markets

ii)                To discuss the integration of capital markets into the dynamics of overall financial systems

iii)              To discuss determination of Rate of Interest and role of and impact on capital market

iv)          To show the transmission channels of macroeconomic policies (fiscal, monetary and exchange    rate policies) impacting real sector and capital market.
